Battery Component Price Report: March 2024
1 year on, we're bringing our BCPR data to Intercalation subscribers, as well as a free preview from Feb2024!
After 12 months of tracking exclusive industry battery pricing data we’re opening up the reports to Substack. Our subscribing supporters will get exclusive access to the monthly reports.
Introducing the BCPR: Battery Component Price Report
When we launched the BCPR, we were asking “when will battery prices fall below $100/kWh?”. Now, 12 months later in March 2024, battery prices are closer to $50/kWh than they are to $100/kWh, thanks to massive drops in the price of raw lithium, over capacity in Chinese battery manufacturing, and correlations between raw minerals, cell components, and end battery products.
The BCPR report concisely summarizes each month’s price movements for key battery components across EV cells, cathode materials, lithium, anodes, electrolytes, precursors, separators, current collector foils, and more.
